Greetings From Pastor Carson

I want to extend a warm and heartfelt greeting to all of our visitors.  Take a look around our web site and I am sure you will be intrigued by what you see.  Our church is one hundred and thirty-three years old. This congregation began shortly after the end of the civil war.  Those responsible for its beginning felt that a church was needed in the community.  The land was donated and all the labor was given by people in the community.  I want to welcome you to a community church with a deep interest in the welfare of those who live in our community.

We also consider ourselves a family church.  A number of families make up the membership of our church - some of whose family members were there in the very beginning of the church existence.  As the membership grew, later their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren also became part of our congregation.  It is in this context that I say we are a family church.

Although you may have visited other web sites, my hope is that what you read, see or hear on our web site will encourage you in the faith and add to the overall well being of your life.
